E1: SVM: Server Manager Fails to Start HTML Instance after HTTP Port is Disabled from Weblogic Admin Console (Doc ID 2027471.1)

Symptoms

From Weblogic Console, uncheck or disable HTTP port and enable SSL port.

Now Server Manager fails to start html instance after HTTP port is disabled from Weblogic Console. This is to prevent users from using HTTP. Users are only allowed to use HTTPS.


Error:



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Weblogic Administration Console

2. From General tab of HTML instance settings, uncheck Listen Port Enabled 

3. check SSL Listen Port Enabled and provide SSL Listen Port number and also all other required values for SSL certification
4. Stop HTML server if started

5. Start HTML server
