E1: 07: Autopay To Include Shift Differential For Salaried Employees (Doc ID 2031782.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 07, 2015

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne US Payroll - Version 9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer is requesting an enhancement to make handling of shift premium processing consistent whether an employee is hourly or salary.
This affects not only shift calculations but also reporting on employees in a shift codes.
The autopay timecard already carries all the correct information for calculating shift premium; however when you enter a manual timecard for pay Type 001 or it is auto generated for a salaried shift employee, gross pay is calculated correctly, but autopay backs out the shift premium.
Many companies have multiple shifts where salaried management receives a Shift Rate. Having to setup shift employees using different setup impacts reporting, data maintenance and data integrity.
