E1: FDA: F1 from Processing Options and Data Selection in Batch Versions (BV) causes a Windows Help pop-up window or Security Error Message with Internet Explorer

Symptoms

When pressing F1 from Batch Versions for Processing Options or Data Selection in addition to getting the E1 item help, there is also a pop-up screen for Windows Helps, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/internet-explorer-help?ocid=ie11_win7_F1 . This pop-up does not occur when you access F1 from an
application.

Steps

  1. Log into E1
  2. Fastpath to BV
  3. Find R9000C or another report with PO
  4. Select a check box for version > Row > Processing Options
  5. Click in the data item field
  6. Press F1
  7. Will get the item help plus the Windows help pop-up
If IT has locked down the users browser, they will instead of getting the pop-up window, they will get an error message such as: This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.
