E1: RDA: Natural Logarithm TRIG System Function LOG(X) Is Displaying/Printing Incorrect Values In Logs For All UBEs (Doc ID 2033170.1)

Last updated on MAY 03, 2018

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Natural Logarithm trig system function log(x) is displaying incorrect values. Instead of displaying the exact natural logarithm values, the values are rounded up and displayed.

Steps to Replicate this issue:

  1. Create a test Report with a single Group Section without any BSVW.
  2. Take a Numeric Report Variable by any means (should allow decimals)
  3. In Report Do Section: just assign this variable as: RV Variable = log(2)
  4. Run a test Report|Version - this should provide natural log i.e.,

When ln(2) = .693, System would print 1.
When ln(3) = 1.098, System would print 1.
When ln(5) = 1.609, System would print 2.

Basically, instead of displaying/printing the exact logarithm values, the values are rounded up and displayed
