E1: SEC: Bug In “Revise All” Option Of P98OWSEC and P98LPSEC.
(Doc ID 2037152.1)
Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
“Revise All” screen of P98OWSEC and P98LPSEC applications have all user security options greyed out (disabled) by default. When a CNC/security analyst needs to change any user security value for all users, a checkbox for respective user security option explicitly needs to be clicked to activate the input field in Revise All screen.
However, if a CNC/security analyst clicks on OK button without explicitly specifying any value in the input boxes, it still causes changing of Password Change Frequency & Allowed Password Attempts values to 0 (zero) for all the users causing major compliance issues.
The Revise All form has both OK and Cancel button however if CNC/security analyst doesn’t explicitly change any value, the assumption is not to change any value despite of clicking on OK button.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to P98OWSEC.
2. Find and select one user ID.
3. Click Revise all button.
