E1: 34: MRP Does Not Consider Existing Past Due Supply For Multiple Past Due Production Number Controlled Work Orders (Doc ID 2052930.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 09, 2015

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ESU containing Bug 18618058 has been applied but has not fixed issue.  Invalid messages are created when planning with Past Due Supply Work Orders when Production Number is activated for the Item.

MRP ignores past due supply work orders under specific circumstances.

Example with 4 sales orders/work orders with production number:

Work order 1 - item A, request date past due, related sales order has the same past due date
Work order 2 - item A, request date past due, related sales order has the same past due date
Work order 3 - item B, request date past due, related sales order has the same past due date
Work order 4 - item B, request date past due, related sales order has the same past due date

Running MRP with production number functionality switched on will lead to the following messages:

- D(efer) message for work order 1 to today's date
- B messages for a new work order. Work order 2 is ignored
- D(efer) message for work order 3 to today's date
- B messages for a new work order. Work order 4 is ignored

So MRP treats the first past due demand/supply for an item by deferring the work order, the second past due demand/supply for the same item leads to a an incorrect B / O message. For the next item the same applies: the first past due demand/supply leads to a defer message and the second leads to a B message.
