Symptoms

With a lot or serial controlled item where no inventory is available, an order is raised in the Sales Order Entry (P42101) application. As expected, the line goes to back order (900) status. The next status comes from the P4210 options and is set to be 527, so the line is at 900/527 status.  Inventory is added to a specific location and lot with the Inventory Adjustments (P4114) application. Using the Select Inventory functionality in the P42101, the available inventory is selected. Note that the order statuses are moved to 520/540, the initial statuses from the Order activity rules for the order and line type. Expected statuses are 520/527. Performing the same test in P4210, where no Select Inventory function is available, if the lot and location are manually populated once inventory is available, the statuses move to 520/527, as expected.
