E1: 09: P0911 Increase the Number of Digits for the Amount Field (Doc ID 2064683.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2018

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne General Ledger - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Amount field in P0911 Work With Journal Entries is currently having a length of 15 digits (13 + 2 decimal places).

If a base currency i.e IDR has an Exchange Rate of 1450 with USD, with available length, the maximum of USD value that can be used is 689,655,172.41 equivalent of IDR 9,999,999,999,999.99.

If the Exchange Rate becomes higher than the current value or business exceeds the 9,999,999,999,999.99 IDR limit, it will not be difficult to maintain the details in the system.

The request is to increase the number of digits for Amount field, so that this issue can be avoided. This change will be useful to customers operating from countries with high Exchange Rates.
