E1: 05: Timecards Entered Through Employee Self Service (P051125) Do Not Split Labor Distribution The Same Way That Speed Time Entry Does (P051121).
Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2015
Applies to:JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Time and Labor - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When timecards are entered in Employee Self Service (P051125), then Batch Processed to the F06116, they are not split according the employee's Labor Distribution instructions.
If however they are entered in Speed Time Entry (P051121), they do split.
Time Entry should work the same way, whether timecards are entered in ESS (F06116Z1) then Batch Processed, or if they are entered in Speed Time Entry.
Doc ID 1088224.1 states that the ESS timecards will not split unless the account number is blank; however the customer cannot change the Processing Option (PO) to not validate blank timecards as they need all other employees to enter an account for their timecards. If the PO is 0 or 2, then they run the risk of employees not entering accounts, when they should.
