Symptoms

Sales Order Entry (P4210)

When a line is entered and the item has no inventory, the warning Order Quantity Exceeds what’s Available (030B) appears. If changes are made on the line and the line is edited the warning disappears.

The client wants this warning message to stay against the item that is not available regardless of the field that users update on the grid.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create an Item that has no Inventory.
  2. Create a Sales Order for the Item with No Inventory. The warning Order Quantity Exceeds what’s Available (030B) appears.
  3. Change Carrier, Promised Ship Date and edit the line. The warning disappears.
