E1: 32: Configured Generic Text View of First Configured Sales Order Detail Line Determines Text View of All Configured Items on the Sales Order (Doc ID 2074372.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Configurator - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

EnterpriseOne 9.1
When first entering a single-level configured item on a sales order and without saving the order, entering a multi-level configured item on Line 2.000, the system is writing/saving the configured generic text of the multi-level configured item in a string format instead of a non-string format. If the multi-level configured item is entered by itself on a sales order, the system writes/saves the configured generic text in a non-string format.

Single-level item (FNLV):
Behind Additional Info in P3291 - Defined as string format
Segments not returning to next line
Only a handful of segments defined to Print Segment Value

Multi-level item (FTWLW with component FTWLW-STR):
Behind Additional Info in P3291 - Defined to not use string format display
Display Order on the Segments to Print on two segments in which segment values are printing.
Not printing most segment values.

First line on the sales order is single-level with string format.
Second line on the order is the multi-level item with non-string format.

When changing the single-level item definition to non-string format, the configured generic text of the multi-level configured line displays correctly.

****It is being reported that this issue began after applying the latest ESU associated with Bug 21668444.
