E1: 07: Tax Record 48/I Being Created In Tax Detail For Employees Who Reside In California But Work In Washington (Doc ID 2078595.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 10, 2016

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne US Payroll - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using a 100% excludable pay type for an employee who works in Washington (48) and resides in California (05) an erroneous tax record is created for tax type 48/I (SDI) which does not exist in the P069012.  This record also calculates an excludable amount.

Additional findings:  After further testing it was determined that when an employee works in Indiana (15) but resides in another state in the National/Fiscal Data form; and is paid using an exempt pay type, tax type 15-HM is being created which is also invalid and does not exist in the P069012.
