E1: INST: DB: When Installing Local Oracle Database 12c Getting Error "ORA-00821: Specified value of sga_target 768M is too small, needs to be at least 1472M " (Doc ID 2082437.1)

Symptoms

On certain machines (workstations or Deployment Server), while trying to install Oracle 12c getting the following error on screen: "The command failed with error 1" and the following in the E1Local.log (located in a path like C:\Oracle\cfgtoollogs\dbca\E1Local):

ORA-00821: Specified value of sga_target 768M is too small, needs to be at least 1472M
ORA-00821: Specified value of sga_target 768M is too small, needs to be at least 1596M

The memory can be increased to 2032 MB and the installation was successful.

- the install of 12c is through E1 9.20 media so 12c installer is being used
