E1: PRINT: Printing From EnterpriseOne Through VPSX Enterprise Output Management System Is Not Working
(Doc ID 2084394.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2018
Applies to:JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Customer has installed third-party printing solution VPSX, which basically replaced LP command, and is able to print files to printer using Linux LP command (i.e., copying a file to the printer from a command prompt on the server), but the regular printing (Row Exit > Print) and Print Immediate within EnterpriseOne are not able to print to the printer, using either PCL printing (*JDE PCL in P98616) or PostScript printing (*JDE PS in P98616).
VPSX is a UNIX/Linux/Windows based Enterprise Output Management system which includes a print spool; it is a full function print server that is POSIX compliant, ensuring platform independence. It is also very good for Cloud Hosting, because it requires the opening of only one firewall port, rather than opening a port for each printer worldwide.
