E1: 15: Void Of A Prepaid Rent Receipt Creating Incorrect General Ledger Date
Last updated on MAY 31, 2016
Applies to:JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Real Estate Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When a prepaid rent receipt is posted, the system generates 2 sets of journal entries to post to the General Ledger. The 1st set of entries uses the receipt General Ledger date to debit bank and credit prepaid rent liability account which has been defined in RCXXXX where XXXX is the prepaid bill code. Another set of journal entries is using the paid invoice's General Ledger date to debit prepaid rent liability account and credit the Account Receivable control account.
However, when the receipt is voided using the original receipt date, the system reverses out all entries using the void receipt GL date. As a result, there is an integrity issue on the Accounts Receivable control account and the prepaid rent account.
