Last updated on DECEMBER 23, 2015

Symptoms

When submitting PRP, R3482 or R3483, on the iSeries server, the submitted jobs screen in E1 shows the job as (P) processing, but the job is completed or has ended on the server and no further data is being written to the planning tables. Client then needs to terminate the submitted job.

Note: R3482 PRP completes successfully. R3483 PRP completes successfully when run local. R3483 non-PRP completes on the server. Client review of the data indicates that the data generated is incomplete. When run local, PRP completes successfully and generates a full data set. Therefore, this problem appears to ONLY occur with R3483 PRP running on the server.

For data items with quantity on hand (such as 12606000.000000) in excess of 6 digits, the system attempts a Msg Type A insert with description, Allocate Inventory to Project, but the insert fails. The error is issued and the job ends abruptly.
