Symptoms

When manually entering a location/lot in sales order detail that does not exist, users receive a hard error Location not in Item Location File (Error ID 3690). Currently, if a branch is configured to allow dynamic creation of locations and lots - when creating a credit order and returning inventory to a lot that is not the same lot as the original order and is currently not existing in F41021, the system does not dynamically create and issues error 3690 Location not in Item location file. At this time, only the Inventory operations will create lots on the fly if the flag is enabled and would like to request that the sales order/credit order entry application be enhanced to allow dynamic lot creation.
