E1: 40G Weigh Tags Use Actual Start Date for Receipt Date (Doc ID 2097477.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 15, 2016

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Grower Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a Grower Weigh Tag (WT) is moved to status CLOSED a purchase order is created and a receipt is generated. The Purchase Order Request Date and Promised Deliver Date default as the date of the WT status change. The Receipt uses the Actual Start Date of the Operation as the Receipt Date and this is written to the Cardex as both the Transaction Date and the G/L Date. The WT Actual Start Date will default to be the date the WT is created but can manually be populated to be in the Future or in the Past.

There are 2 concerns with this functionality:

1) This is not consistent with standard purchase order processing where the Receipt Cardex record captures the Date the Receipt was created as the Transaction Date.

2) If a future date is used as the Actual Start Date and the Operation is Closed the P41202 Inventory Availability will show the quantity as Available On Hand with a Last Receipt Date that is still in the future.
