E1: 42: Kit Components Will Inherit Item Master Line Type When Released From Sales Blanket (Doc ID 2110502.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Kit components do not use the expected line type when the parent is released by P420111.

If a kit parent is released by P420111 it uses the line type specified by the version of P4210 set in the process options. However, the kit components continue to use the line type defined in Item Master.

Kit components should not use the line type defined in Item Master but rather the one defined in the processing options, as it happens with the Kit Parent

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Create a Sales Blanket with Kit Items. Kit parent and components have S line type;
  2. Release the SB to a SD and have the line type overwrite from processing options to D line type;
  3. Notice the line type on the SD was only overwrite for the parent line. The components lines get the Item Master line type.
