E1: 42: SQ Or SB Does Not Reopen When Generated Order Is Canceled (Doc ID 2120546.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 04, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Processing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Sales Quote or Sales Blanket does not reopen when the Generated Order is cancelled and the Order Type of the Generated Order is in UDC 40/BT.

Whit the current logic, it is imposable to have a 3 step release setup. While you can release a SQ to a SB and a SB to a SO, you cannot get the SQ opened again by cancelling the SO and the SB. Cancelling the SO will reopen the SB but cancelling the SB will not reopen the SQ as long as you have SB in UDC 40/BT. You need SB in UDC 40/BT to generate the SB from the SQ in the first place.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. UDC - have SQ and SB defined in UDC 40/BT;
  2. P4210 – create a SQ;
  3. P420111 – release the full quantity on the SQ and generate a SB;
  4. P4210 – cancel the SB;
  5. P420111 or P4210 – note the SQ is still closed;
  6. UDC – remove SB from UDC 40/BT, log out, clear cache on JAS and log in again;
  7. P4210 – create new SQ;
  8. P420111 – release the full quantity on the SQ and generate a SB;
  9. P4210 – cancel the SB;
  10. P420111 or P4210 – note the SQ is reopened.
