E1: ESU: 9.2 ESU Manual Installation Error - CabUtil MFC Application has stopped working

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When manually installing certain 9.2 ESUs on Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2, a popup error window is displayed with the following message:
'CabUtil MFC Application has stopped working'
After closing this popup window and the subsequent popup window with the same message, you can proceed with the installation as usual.
