Last updated on MAY 30, 2017

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When logging to development client with long userid, the "long" user ID does not get saved to the "LASTUSER" setting in [SIGNON] section in the local JDE.INI. Instead, the short ID gets written to the JDE.INI.

[SIGNON]
LASTENV=PD920
LASTUSER=<SHORT_USER>
LASTROLE=*ALL
SHOWOPTIONS=1

So, the next time a user tries to logs in, if they simply input their password, then the warning gets written to the Security Kernel log.
