Calculate and display Productivity Calculations at the Cost Type level
Productivity Calculations should be displayed at the Cost Type level in order to assist the Project Cost Engineers in determining the correct amounts and units that need to be adjusted in the EAC or ETC Amounts and Units. The ability to compare Productivity at the Revised Budget, Actual and EAC levels improves forecasting accuracy. We have previously determined that when using the Advanced Forecasting application all of the MOC on the job need to be capable of being updated within the Advanced Forecasting program. Productivity numbers are provided when using the Performance Labor Methods of Computation (H, L and I in combination with each other). However because these MOC cannot be updated in the Forecasting application, it is not possible to sync the month the Performance Labor MOCs update EAC amounts and units with the closed month the Forecasting application will update EAC amounts and units. Providing Productivity calculations will help to mitigate this issue. The Productivity Calculations requested are:
• Amount (Cost) per Unit of Production – rolled up LOD 8 amount divided by LOD 7 Units
• Unit of Production per Manhour – LOD 8 rolled up Units divided by LOD 7 Units
• Manhour per Unit of Production – LOD 7 Units divided by LOD 8 rolled up Units
