E1: 34: Net Change MRP Ignores Frozen MPS Requirements (Doc ID 2148387.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Frozen MPS logic is not correct when run in Net Change Mode. Gross Regeneration populates correct (FWOU == FWO) planning quantities in the time series. When the top level parent is replanned, the net change flag is set for lower level components. Frozen MPS (FWOU == FWO) by definition, does not respond to upper level messages, but only to previously actioned messages as reflected in the firm work order demand dates and quantities. Running R3482 or R3483 Frozen MPS in net change mode populates the time series for lower levels based on adjusted quantities not the unadjusted (frozen) quantities or dates as expected.
