E1: 32: Configured Sales Quote Calls Configured Item Availability Window
Last updated on JULY 11, 2016
Applies to:JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Configurator - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Currently when entering a sales quote for a configured item, if there is availability for the configuration entered in the P3210, the system will call the P3220 window provided that the Configurator Constants are set with Check Availability selected. If the user selects the lot with the configuration in the P3220, the system will will look to processing option 2 in the Commitment tab, P4210 to see which bucket to put the commitment in (i.e. SO Quantity 1, SO Quantity 2). Under this scenario, a problem could occur if multiple sales quotes exist for the same lot; once one of these quotes is released to a sales order, subsequent released quotes will have the same lot rather than having a line type W and work order created.
The request is to allow sales quotes from being excluded from using the check availability functionality. This could be added via a processing option or a setting in the Configurator Constants.
