Freight Handling Code Invalid and PDOV field
We have multiple customers that have orders generated through demand. User reports that on shipments for a particular customer, she is unable to route the shipment because she gets a Freight Handling Code Invalid error. Yet when she goes into the shipment and re-enters the same value in the Freight Handling Code field (C for Collect), she is then able to route the shipment to select a carrier.
What I have found is that the original record in the F4215 has the Promised Delivery Override PDOV field set at a 1. When she re-enters the same existing value, that 1 is cleared. Then she is able to route the shipment to select a carrier.
Attached are print screens showing this. My questions:
1. what is happening that is causing this PDOV to be set to a 1?
2. why is it cleared by re-entering the same value into the FRH field?
3. of course, how can we eliminate this extra step for our user?
