E1: PKG: Package Fails With "fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'pti.lib' " (Doc ID 2175360.1)

Symptoms

When building a package post-TR 9.1.5.x, getting LINK errors in CAEC and CALLBSFN DLLs that is causing server package to end in error.

CAEC.sts/CALLBSFN.sts logs have messges:

build status: E (stopped with error)

module that is compiling: LINK


CAEC.log/CALLBSFN.log logs have messges: 

Fri Aug 19 13:18:39 - builddll.c:2373 BUILDDLL0082 ERROR: Exiting DoTheLink with failure.

 

Look for the following messages from the CAEC_Obj.log and the CALLBSFN_TXT.log.  There were no other error messages in the build or compile logs.

LINK : warning LNK4224: /INCREMENTAL:YES is no longer supported; ignored
LINK : warning LNK4044: unrecognized option '/WARN:3'; ignored
LINK : warning LNK4075: ignoring '/INCREMENTAL' due to '/FORCE' specification

Starting pass 1
LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'pti.lib'
