E1: JAS: Users Unable to Sign Out When " UseLogonCookie " Parameter is Set to " Direct " - Tools Release 9.2.0.2 and Above (Doc ID 2175636.1)

Last updated on MAY 30, 2017

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using Server Manager, the JAS.ini parameter "UseLogonCookie" is defined as DIRECT.

The username, password, and environment are saved in a cookie to automatically log-in a user into EnterpriseOne.
For this functionality to take effect, the "Remember my sign in information" checkbox must be selected on the Log-in screen.

In above configuration, when a user Sign-Out, they are prompted with two choices:
1. Sign in as a new user
2. Sign in as the same user

When the user selects #1, they should be directed back to the log in page to enter a new user/password and environment.
Instead, the system atomically directs the user back in to the EnterpriseOne Menu and is still signed on.
