E1: 47: EDI 850 Inbound Sends Wrong EDI Doc Number/Line Number to Work Center (Doc ID 2183020.1)

EDI 850 Inbound P.O. Create (R47011)

When multiple EDI documents are processed with errors by EDI 850 Inbound P.O. Create (R47011), the errors sent to the work center are attributed to the wrong EDI document number and line number.

For example, three EDI Documents are created as follows:

  1. EDI Document Number 104624, contains Line 1 only and the Item Number is invalid. This will produce an error.
  2. EDI Document Number 104629, contains Line 1, 2 and 3 and all 3 lines are valid item numbers.
  3. EDI Document Number 104629, contains Line 1 and 2. The Item Number is invalid on Line 1 and valid on Line 2.

The Work Center Error states the following:

Order Number 104630 Contains Errors (this should be for Order Number 104624)
Line 2.000 Contains Errors (this should be line 1.000)

Item Number Invalid (0267)
CAUSE. . . . . The Item Number entered does not exist in the Basic Item Master (P4101).
RESOLUTION . . Enter a valid Item number or add the Item to the Basic Item Master (P4101).
