Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Ship To customer group is being used to retrieve the price adjustment for a sales order when the hierarchy is set to use Sold to or Parent customer group alone.

A hierarchy has been created having the following priority flow:
1 - Sold To Customer Group/Item Group
2 - Parent Customer Group/Item Group
3 - Sold To Customer Group/All Items
4 - Parent Customer Group/All Items
An adjustment has been defined having 18% discount for Customer Price Group=ABPC/any value and Item Price Group=DIV/value=FA
Sold To (2705) customer has Customer Price Group=AN
Ship To (2231) customer has Customer Price Group=ABPC
No Parent address has been defined neither for Sold To nor for Ship To address.
An order line has been entered, having an item within Item Price Group and Sold To (2705) different than Ship To (2231).
The result is that the adjustment above gets applied even if the Hierarchy is only set up to check the Sold to or the Parent Cust Groups.

Note: If the Parent Customer Groups information is removed from the Hierarchy, the adjustment does not apply.
