Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Cannot Enter A Password Greater Than 10 Characters In P980001

When implementing additional security features, such as long Password, or LDAP authentication, administrators may want to change the JDE E1 User Password for additional security. Unfortunately the system user JDE requires the same password as the E1 User, and the system user password is limited to ten characters. As such, the JDE E1 User password is limited to ten characters.

Changes

In P980001 [System User Revisions], when you add a system user, for the password fields, it allows you to enter a max of 10 characters.
