E1: Grid: Enhancement Request to Remove Grid Format Manager from Process to Customize Grid Column Order (Doc ID 2184903.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 11, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Releases Prior to 9.2, a user could change the Grid Columns Order per <Document ID 1082074.1>"E1: GRID: Working with Grid Formats and Using the User Overrides Application P98950", by dragging the desired column(s) to the desired location(s) and then saving the grid format.

In 9.2, clicking the Save icon in the grid, after dragging column(s) to the desired position(s), opens the Grid Format manager.
Now, additional mouse-clicks and process steps are required based on how User Defined Objects (UDOs) are engaged in 9.2.x.x tools releases.

The request has been made to feature drag/drop functionality for Grid Column sort order without engaging the Grid Format Manager.
