E1: 08: VETS 4212 Report and/or F080436 Table Have Incorrect Information For Contact Name (Doc ID 2187319.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Human Resources Management - Version 9.0 to 9.0 [Release 9.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the VETS-4212 Employment Report is executed it populates the F080436 table with the Alpha Name of the employee set up in the processing options. If the Alpha Name has a comma in it the F080436 record contains the comma. The specifications for the data file for the VETS-4212 Employment Report state that commas are not allowed as special characters in the file. Commas should not be used in any of the data fields. The specifications state: "Since commas are used to separate data fields, they cannot be used within fields." The F080436 records should be produced without commas within text fields so the commas don't have to manually removed. The Contact Name should be produced as either a reformatting of the ALPH or the Mailing Name.
