When attempting to use P4100A Speed Location to add records with Location Segment Control on and a Location Segment Specification edit rule exists for both Aisle and Bin to be anything other than a 1 (address book), the following error occurs.
140N “Location Segment Control Must Be On”
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) P41001. Add a new BP and check both Location Control and Location Segment Control.
2) P41001. Take the row exit to Location Definition. On the Location Format Specification tab define the location requirement as needed. On the Location Segment Specification tab define edit rule for both Aisle and Bin to be anything other than a 1 (address book). In this example we used 3 (user defined) and values 1 to 10 for both aisle and bin.
3) P41001. Take the Locations row exit and add location 10.10 which falls under user defined values.
4) P4100. From Location Master take the row exit to Speed Location. Error 140N “Location Segment Control Must Be On” is set.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot add a Location Segment Specification where either aisle or bin is not equal to a 1.
