Purpose
This document provides details on the enhanced media object (MOBJ) functionality available with the 9.2.1 tools release. For information regarding the storing of media objects in the database, see Document 2212744.1 E1: MOBJ: Media Object Attachments Moved into the Database starting with Tools Release 9.2.1.
The new feature ONLY works when ActiveX controls are NOT enabled. When using OLEONLY or SupportActiveXIE = TRUE, this functionality will NOT be available. See the Server Manager / ini Settings section below for more details. Enhance Media Object uses browser native spell check so Spell Check button does not appear.
The following instances of media objects will always run in classic mode:
Running in portal
Embedded in applications
CafeOne layout
For accessibility users
Simplified server, user or role
