Symptoms

Unable to import CSV into grid if using other separator than comma

When trying to Import a CSV file into the grid the data is populated in the first column only.

This happens when the Excel option has Decimal Separator = , comma.


Excel options - Advanced - System - Decimal Separator = , comma AND Thousands - . dot
ActiveX = OFF

Unable to import CSV into grid if using other separator than comma

When trying to Import a CSV file into the grid the data is populated in the first column only.
This happens when the Excel option has Decimal Separator = , comma.
And the CSV file is created from an exported XLS file, save as CSV.

The CVS is using ; as the separator, however the decimal separator in the Netherlands is a comma and this cannot be used as numeric values if decimals are involved.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Able to use Import options available with ActiveX OFF (CSV in particular)

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open P4114 and click add. Supply explanation to enable the editable grid.
2. Click tools, Import Grid Data.
3. In step 1 select the csv file and click continue.
4. Then click apply to show the contents of the csv into the sample grid.
5. Only the first field shows the complete contents of the file.
