E1 : KER : Unable to Increase Metadata ThreadPoolSize Parameter Beyond 50 (Doc ID 2206292.1)

Last updated on MARCH 31, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While tuning the metadata kernel to process more load , ThreadPoolSize parameter in [JDENET_KERNEL_DEF30] section of the jde.ini cannot be increased beyond 50 , the default value.

When the value is increased and the EnterpriseOne services restarted for the changes to take effect , the value is automatically reset back to 50. The following message appears in the logs

This value could be increased in the Pre-9.2 Tools releases( For eg.,  to allow for concurrent spec preparation work for more UBEs).

Even changing the MaxNumberOfConcurrentThreads in [JDENET_KERNEL_DEF30] section of the jde.ini  does not help in changing the ThreadPoolSize beyond 50.
