Questions and Answers
Question 1: What do we do if we are entering tags and we find a tag with an item or an item/location that was not included when we ran Select Items for Count?
Question 2: How can we change a count if we have already entered it?
Question 3: Why don't the product numbers and locations print on the tags?
Question 4: What are the major differences between a tag count and a cycle count?
Question 5: How can the count variances be reviewed before running Tag Count Update?
Question 6: We ran Select Items For Count, but have not yet counted. Now our inventory on-hand has changed. How can we update the frozen quantity in the Cycle Count Transaction File (F4141)?
Question 7: Do the records remain in the Tag Inventory File (F4160) and Cycle Count Transaction File (F4141) after Tag Count Update (R41610) is run?
Question 8: Consider the following scenario: Select Items For Tag Count (R41606) is run and 100 records are placed in the F4141 Transaction Table. Tag Print is run to print 100 tags. The warehouse only counted 95 item location combinations and returns only 95 tags. You enter the 95 tags and run Tag Count Update (R41610).  Is the inventory accurate now?
Question 9: Consider the following scenario: Select Items For Tag Count (R41606) is run, and 100 records are placed in the F4141 Transaction Table.  Tag Print is run to print 100 tags. The warehouse counts 105 item location combinations and does not have enough tags. How do the extra five counts get entered?
Question 10:  We are in the middle of a Physical Inventory - Tag count but do not want to run the tag count update program (R41610) because we feel so many things are wrong with our physical count. Can we purge F4160 without any problem?  What are the implications of not running the Tag Count Update program (R41610) after we have selected items for tag count, printed tags and entered tag count results?
Question 11: Why are users seeing Item/Location Not Selected for Count (Error ID: 065I) at Tag Count Entry when the location does not exist? The processing option is set to allow addition of location records and the branch plant constants has the location control turned off.
Question 12:  Is there a way to generate tag numbers based on a starting number?
Question 13: The user is getting Quantity Restriction Exceeded for Item (Error ID: 4723) in P41604. The item has a Lot Process Type of 7 (Serial No Assigned Manually). Why is the error displayed?
Question 14: I have 2 items basically setup identical (same G/L class, stocking type, line type, etc). When we ran the tag count update, one of the tags updates correctly and sets the status code to "CL" but the other is set to "NL". I have checked F4102, F4105, F41021, F4160 & F4141 but cannot find what is causing the status code to get set to "NL".
