This document discusses Grid Formats (aka User Overrides) specific to 9.2 and newer where they are an object in a larger grouping referred to as User Defined Objects (UDO).  Grid formats allow a user to change the appearance of an application. These changes do not impact the application's functions. Grid Formats are a type of User Override. Example of User Override changes are changes to menu bar / toolbar options (Fat Client), User Preferences like the width of the Left Navigation menu (Web Client), customizing Grid Formats which includes re-arranging grid columns, Sort Sequence of the Grid, Grid Color and Font, changing Grid column width, etc.
