Last updated on MARCH 08, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
IBM i on POWER Systems

When calling standard business function B4700230 to copy the contents of source flat file to target flat file. The source flat file correctly has carriage return at the end of line (before Line Feed) but the lines written to target flat if it has '%' sign (or special characters) in any field, it does carriage return before that sign resulting in garbled not readable characters in text file output. The business function is using JDE APIs jdefreadconvert and jdefwriteconvert. This happens only when the batch applications is run on server (AS/400) and does not happen on windows server.
