Last updated on MAY 12, 2017

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Entry - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Release: 9.1 and above
Program: processSalesOrderV6 (JP420000)

When running the processSalesOrderV6 (JP420000) BSSV and there are more than 30 characters in the Description 1 field, the error messaging is not very clear. The BSSV response shows the following error:

If the same process is ran in another BSSV (ex: processPurchaseOrderv2), the following error message is sent to the response:

Line No. Sent in:1:DESCRIPTION: Invalid arguments are passed to business function :PurchaseOrderLineProcess(Purchase Order Line Process): Parameter szDescription1's length is longer than 30
RESOLUTION: Enter valid data.

The expectation is that the processSalesOrderV6 will send similar error messages to notify the user which field has characters over the allowable limit.
