E1: ORCH: Orchestrator Low Performance When Handling a Stream of JSON Messages (Doc ID 2267088.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 16, 2021

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1.  The Orchestrator is showing low performance when handling a stream of JSON messages

The AIS server (Orchestration) is taking about 1 to 3 seconds to process one service request. We need to improve this performance (below 0.1 second) considering the demand of the shop floor devices that it must handle. When the AIS receives a thread of 8 JSON messages, we are experiencing this kind of delay and this is a very short number of messages. The number of messages tend to become high and high as soon as the new module goes live.

2. 400 stores using 3-4 scanning device updating inventory and placing Orders.  When the transaction get process at the high volume, AIS becomes unresponsive and everything stops working.  No grooy, no complex integration.  It is a simple JSON over REST.
