E1: 09: Indexed Computations Not Defaulting Doc Type Value with Column Security Active (P09121) (Doc ID 2270844.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a user has column security set up for Indexed Computations (P09121), on Data Item DCT, with View = Y, Add = N, and Change = N, if the user adds a new record via P09121, the new record WILL NOT default in the default DCT value of “JA”. Conversely, if the same column security structure is set up for Advanced Variable Numerator (P09123), new records created by the user in P09123 WILL default in the default DCT value of “JA”. The outcome of what happens to the DCT value in both the P09121 and P09123 examples would be expected to be the same, which would be that the default of JA should default in on both record types.
