Effective July 1, 2017, the 80-byte and 275-byte file formats will no longer be available for upload on UIConnect. Employers can utilize the autoload function, the CSV spreadsheet, and the 512-byte file format. The specifications for the CSV spreadsheet and 512-byte file format are available on the UIConnect homepage by clicking “FTP File Specs” (dol.nebraska.gov/UIConnect).
Beginning with the 2nd quarter of 2017, employers will have the option of reporting the number of hours paid and primary job title for each employee on the electronic wage report. While not required, the Department of Labor encourages you to provide this helpful information if your current payroll reporting system allows.
