Requesting that processing options be added behind the Employee Master - Organization Assignment form (P0801ORG), that allows users to dictate:

a) Whether blank entries are allowed on the Job Type (JBCD) and Job Step (JBST) fields.
b) Whether the Job Type (JBCD) and Job Step (JBST) fields are defaulted from the Position Master (F08101) when a Position ID (POS) is being used.

The way that the application is currently designed; if a Position ID is being used, the P0801ORG will automatically default all of the job information from the F08101. If that specific Position ID contains BLANK values for the Job Type/Step; however, the system wipes out whatever values were originally entered manually in the Job Type/Step fields within P0801ORG and replaces them with BLANK values.

Some users manually input job information, while still using the Position Master as their jobs are not always necessarily linked to a specific Position ID. The current design does not accommodate those users.
