New York Paid Family Leave Act

Employers are permitted, but not required, to collect the weekly employee contribution for paid family leave coverage that begins on January 1, 2018. Employees are entitled to Paid Family Leave Benefits under Article 9 of the Workers' Compensation Law starting January 1, 2018. The maximum weekly employee contribution will be 0.126% of an employee's weekly wage, not to exceed the New York State average weekly wage (currently $1,305.92). To calculate this tax, pass the enumerated type eVprtTaxIDSDI1EE in the parameter pTaxID.

There are no JD Edwards code changes required, however there is set up needed in order to have the tax calculate and appear on the employee's pay stub.

Refer to Vertex documentation specific to the June 2017 Monthly Update regarding changes pertaining to New York and other taxing localities.
