E1: 41: P41500 Does Not Validate Negative Variances (Doc ID 2285390.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Current functionality states that if there is a Tolerance Limit specified, the user will be able to reconcile transactions having a variance less than the tolerance limit without any errors. If the user tries to reconcile a transaction having a variance greater than the tolerance limit, the system will throw hard-error "Variance Not Within Tolerance Limit" (error ID 02RE). For this issue, if the variance amount is negative, the system does not trigger the error when the absolute value of the variance exceeds the Tolerance Limit set in the processing options behind the P41500 application.

Users would expect to see the "Variance Not Within Tolerance Limit" error if a user attempts to reconcile a negative variance amount that exceeds the Tolerance Limit.
