E1: PKG: Recompressing Client Packages Removes Checked In Objects After TR 9.2.X.X (Doc ID 2295614.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 27, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The customer builds one full package per month.  During this month, they build approximately 70 update packages.  He uses the package build history to reset the status of the compress steps and then rebuilds the package.  This triggers the .CAB files to be rebuilt.  Recently, the customer noticed that in addition to the compression steps, his checked in objects were being removed causing a compile error because an include file was not correct.  File movement had occurred.  The recompression had copied an object that was checked in but not built and deployed.  The last built and deployed object overwrote the check in object.

The recompression needs to generate new .CAB files based solely on what is in the full package folder structure.

Upgraded the tools release to from 9.1.x.x
