Symptoms

 After applying Linux patches to the Enterprise Server, Packages no longer complete. Upon submission, the job hangs until stopped manually.  

The Server Package Build Log ends abruptly.

The package build kernel enters into a zombie status, and produces a jde _dmp.log regarding the incident.

When looking into the dmp file, which contains the call stacks of the package build kernel, the below is visible:

Changes

 The Linux kernel was upgraded to 2.6.32-696.3.2.el6.x86_64 or 2.6.32-696.1.1.el6.x86_64.
