E1: INST: How to Upgrade Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) Version from 11g to 12c for TR 9.2.2.x and above (Doc ID 2305477.1)

Goal

For Tools Release 9.2.2.0 and later, the installation of the Development Client and Webdev Features (WLSH4A, and WASH4A) will be done using OUI 12.2.0.2.2. This document will help with the upgrade of the OUI Version from 11.2.0.2.0 to 12.2.0.2.2.

This must be done BEFORE upgrading the Tools Release on the Deployment Server.

Note : If using Server Manager Agent 9.2.3.3 or higher, then you no need to follow this document because this upgrade Process will be automatically done by 9.2.3.3 or higher Server Manager Console 

Potential Symptoms

If OUI 11 is utilized for the install, the command prompt window is shown but the OUI screen never shows.  It may flash for a moment before crashing, with the following OUI version present as the last line in the installactions.log 

INFO: Oracle Universal Installer Version 11.2.0.2.0
